It all started when…

I realized my daydream wasn’t just a dream but a glimpse into the future. I started this business out of a passion for pearls and it slowly grew into something more. Christina E. Pearls has changed my life in so many ways and honestly, I do not know where I would be without it. My company’s motto is pearls for the everyday girl. That motto does not necessarily always mean physical pearls but more so of what the pearls stand for and mean for that particular woman. I pride myself on positive energy and uplifting the women around me as well as my customers. I also believe in giving women their pearls in life rather than in death. Every item on my website is named after a woman that I have met or has made a difference in my life. Every necklace is considered a tribute and named to make those women feel special. I was judged for starting what began as a jewelry business because everyone said too many people do it, or there is no demand for it, or no one will take you seriously. What many people failed to realize was, I wasn’t doing it for other people but more so for me. I was stressed and tired of working for companies whose values and priorities did not align with mine. Anytime I feel like I have to compromise my moral values and integrity then it’s time to go. I was simply existing and not living which is not how I wanted to go through life. I was working 3 jobs and 2 were full-time when I made the leap to work for myself. Christina E. Pearls has been a dream of mines for many years but always felt out of my reach. I feared being a business owner and the responsibility that came with it, but my grandmother was the one that gave me the courage to push forward. She gave pearls a meaning which gave them power. She said to look at them as a form of protection and reminder of the lady I was raised to be, the lady I currently am and the lady I will grow to become. I started out of love for pearls and their beauty but then it became more. It became a symbol of love, hope, strength, and balance. I was raised to always be a lady no matter what and to never lose yourself in the storm. I wanted to have a company that represented what I felt was missing in my generation. I wanted to be a true role model for a little girl to look up to and say she looks just like me and if she can do it so can I. I know my business is small but my heart is big and I believe if you do anything with the right intention and love in your heart then you can’t go wrong. Today I feel as though the lady aspect is disappearing in the eyes of women and men, and my hope is that my pearls will act as a reminder to all who wear them. My imagination is that when you put a pair of pearls on you instantly feel like a better, stronger more confident you.
